Bridal Inspiration: Kate Middleton in Jenny Packham

The Duchess of Cambridge wowed the world media not once, but twice last week. If we thought she couldn’t get any better after that Roland Mouret white dress, well, we were wrong.

William and Kate attended the Our Greatest Team Rises black tie Gala on the countdown to London 2012, and the Duchess wore a spectacular teal gown by Jenny Packham and Jimmy Choo heels. Needless to say she looked amazing, and she topped the ensemble with a braided updo, and long earrings.

Now, the title of this little article is Bridal Inspiration, and this is why: This ensemble is a perfect bridal look for romantic brides that like to stay classic, obviously you have to imagine the dress in a more bridal color, however I know some daring ladies might consider it just as it is.

Almost the whole top of the dress is made of lace and some sparkly details, and the row of buttons in the back is quite elegant. I love the skirt, and how flowing it is, and how the same fabric was a little pleated at the top. The little embellished belt adds a glamorous touch to the gown. I really like that the dress needs a second look, is not something you can take all in once glance, and the back is just the perfect surprise.

So for the brides out there: if you’re looking for a flowing skirt kind of dress with quite romantic and elegant and details, this is a good point to start to get inspired, Jenny Packham even had it for her Bridal collection as you can see in the image above. Also that hairdo is quite in trend, and it’s been a huge favorite for brides lately, so you could take it into consideration as well. In my opinion, this is simply a perfect look.
