Paris Haute Couture Highlights: Elie Saab

Luxury is a word that should always be in the description on any Elie Saab collection. The Fall 2012 couture one, was no exception. As usual the Lebanese designer put together a dreamy collection worth not only of red carpets but also museums, he surely is an artist and understands how regal a woman wants to feel for certain occasions. Loved the colors, a lot of gold was seen on this collection, combined with gorgeous warm colors; and the contrast of fabrics to make a design look more dramatic than the other was just amazing. As usual, these designs need time to truly enjoy them and appreciate every single detail.

Paris Haute Couture Highlights: Valentino

Beautiful, classy  and very elegant couture collection. Amongst the sea of midnight blue, Valentino also brought some gorgeous red gowns that took my breath away, as well as some yellows and light pinks. This brings me to the fabrics: ones flowing and light, while others were quite the opposite; creating different styles and effects for every design. As usual, I like details, and this collection has more than just a few. I have to confess the neck to floor gowns are getting a little old for my taste, but they manage to bring some to my attention.

Paris Haute Couture Highlights: Chanel

So Karl and I have finally agreed. This makes me very happy. Usually Chanel collections aren’t my favorite but this new vintage for the Fall 2012 haute couture show seems to have exactly what I like about this fashion house.

With the classic Chanel fabrics and designs it is almost impossible to miss. Loved the two pieces outfits, very very classy and elegant, and what I liked the most were the colors, pastel pink anyone? Then get a look to Chanel this Fall. I found this collection quite inspirational and wearable, if a little more mature. Loved the make-up, and even the nail-art for this collection has caught many people’s attentions, I can’t wait for the tutorials!
