Milan Fashion Week Highlights: Etro F/W 2013

I was quite surprised I liked this collection since these kind of prints aren’t what I usually like, however, Veronica Etro managed to make it work. This is a very modern collection, with lots of structural lines and colors. Looks very fresh and young, more for a friday night at the disco than a cocktail party. At first it looks like it’s all over the place, but once you get to the details is quite beautiful, fun and different. I guess that’s the whole purpose to cause shock. Liked it a lot.

Milan Fashion Week Highlights: Dolce & Gabbana F/W 2013

Italy was yet again Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana‘s the source of inspiration for this season’s collection, and the result was nothing less than spectacular in my opinion. This time they set their eyes and creative minds on Sicily’s Cathedral of Monreale, including mosaics in their designs, and some other designs being obviously related to the Church (for example the cardinal red dresses, gorgeous I must say). In the other hand, skirtsuits are also part of this collection, very classic and elegant in more sober colors such as black and grey. I really liked this one, the art, the colors, the fabrics, the accessories, and the shoes. Take a look!

Milan Fashion Week Highlights: Salvatore Ferragamo F/W 2013

An almost monochromatic collection was presented by designer Massimiliano Giornetti  at Salvatore Ferragamo‘s runway. Black, white and navy blue are the colors of the season for the Italian fashion house, and as many other brands Ferragamo was big on coats. This was another simple collection, composed mostly by straight lines and solid colors. Very modern and very elegant.
