Paris Fashion Week Highlights: Emanuel Ungaro F/W 2013

When looking at the pictures of this Emanuel Ungaro collection I thought this looked very art deco. What obviously stand out are the prints, I LOVE polka dots so I really like those here, there’s also a lot of animal print, and the two mixed as well, which is not exactly my favorite, but I guess it has its fans as well. Love the bright colors and the shapes, very modern, and the embellishments are fabulous too, there are lots of details. Take a look!

NYFW Highlights: Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2013

There’s a reason why the First Lady Michelle Obama chose Jason Wu, twice, to design  her Inauguration Ball gown, and this collection is the perfect demonstration.

Some structural designs, flowing fabrics, fur and polka dots are some of the elements of this collection that in my humble opinion is just perfect. I like the simplicity, the elegance and the colors, lots of black, with touches of red, brown and blue.

Paris Fashion Week Highlights: Nina Ricci

This is a great collection. Very ‘tough chic’ with lots of feminine designs with a little edge to them. Loved the colors, some fuchsia, aqua, black and neutrals; the fabrics from flowing chiffon to silk charmeuse and the polka dots in different sizes. Very elegant and modern, I love the shapes and textures as well as the accessories.
